(G) 1990 Nissan 300zx Fairlady SWB Non-Turbo 5 Speed Manual in Red.

 

The Z was imported in 2000 and I am the 2nd owner since. I only have service history for the period I have had the car.

 

The only mods to the car from standard are the Turbo clocks ( I have originals ), APEXi Rev/Speed Meter (for mph), Apexi rear backboxes, and Momo Race Steering wheel and Gear knob.

 

The car is a 2 seater SWB but the seats are not the orginals (after market buckets) and are worn. The has approx 50,000km on the clock and has a 12 month MOT.

The reason I'm selling my beloved Z is I want the TT version of either the Z or a Supra.. Need more power! 8)

Hey! I'm interested The only problem is I'm in Nottingham, and might be a bit stuck for transport... possibly could get a lift off a mate, though... any chance of bringing it down here? I can pay cash if you give me enough notice to get to the bank...

 

Anyway, is the only problem with the car the worn seats/mats? I can cope with that How come they're so worn over only 50k?

Erm... what else should I ask? Ah yes.. does it have an alarm or immobiliser? Is it a grey import? And does it have a stereo? I'm just gonna pop off & get an insurance quote, reply if you see this, otherwise I might call tonight anyway

 

 

That car is an import, as far as i can see it has an alarm, i can see an alarm siren at the front of the bay anyway. I dont know why the seats are so worn after 50k kilometer, and tbh a clean bay shows some1 has cleaned it . 2500 seems a good price, but the knackered seats is a good bargaining point, im sure you can find some stock leather seats for sale on here for not too much anyway.

Thanks for the info, Clarkey - I wasn't *too* fooled by the clean engine bay, and I was suspecting it would be an import from the mileage - perhaps 50k since importing? But then, if the tacho had been changed, wouldn't it be in miles, not km? Forgive me, I know next to nothing about imports... :/

 

Is a grey import gonna cause me problems with insurance? I've been messing with online quotes, and it never asks about import status. Again, I don't know anything about them....

 

You think there might be justification for reducing the price a little more, then? Good £2.5k seemed cheap to me, but I'll do what I can to push it further

 

Oh, one last thing... as an import, is it going to have a speed limiter? Or does that depend on how the speedo conversion has been done?

Definitly been clocked with seats worn like that, they must have done it Japan before the import!

Still its a good price though.

There is a real good reason why the seats are the way they are though!.. Even with 100000 miles on the clock they shouldn't be like they are... Apparently they where stolen one day while the roof was off.. and where replaced by these crappy things. I didn't mind when I bought it as I wanted some uge buckets to fill the spaces.

 

A1 jap spares will supply a set for £150.. I would love to see ya get a MANUAL Z for £2650.. I think its an absolute bargin but then again I'm selling it

 

Alarm is a Cat 1 with certificate.

 

I have the old clocks that where removed due to a fault with the speedo. When the where in to be repaired the company broke them and offered to replace them. The only ones we could find where again from A1 jap spares (nice outfit btw) and they where NISMO turbo clocks. Didn't bother me as I had a Apexi Rev/speed meter fitted anyhow (displays digital mph).

 

Anyway why clock a car and leave seats like that in.. It would be obvious to anyone that seen it that it was clocked!! so what would be the point!!!! Clocked in Japan first lol!! (but possible!!)

 

 

 

 

Someone was advertising an N/A on ebay that had done nearly half a million miles hehe!!!

 

Reminds me of a red SWB I saw last year in an import centre in Southampton that claimed to have 50k on the clock. Seats and interior were well worn and bodywork wasn't great. They wanted 9k for it LOL

 

For 2.5k it looks like its worth a look to me
