Bad luck for new owner

Front member corrosion

 

Found during a new owners assessment, bizzare the rest of the zed is tops, done a fair few of these but this is bad, when we get to fix it will do a write up on it with pics.

 

Was a disapointing discovery for the new owner, to be fair unless jacked up you would not see it, rest of the zed is fine so well worth repairing and not to let it spoil the purchase for him.

    Hey man, see the Z in the background of the bottom picture with those Volk 6-spoke rears, who has that?? My dads got a set of 7's and 8's for his soarer but really wants a pair of 8's or 9's for the rears if the fella would be interested in selling em? Im sure price wouldnt be an issue ;)

    I worked for nissan for 8 years and the micra bubble rots in exactly the same place, doesn't seem to be a reason rest of the car fine. Maybe they use thinner not so well cover metal here as its not load bearing. odd!!

    there is a water drain off pipe from somewhere that goes into this and it is open ended, i think this is what casued mine, it was a pig of a job to replace

    A step by step on the repair would be ace Jeff, mine is quite bad aswell, maybe not that bad though. (I hope).

     

    Noticed it when I replaced my radiator.
