have you checked around the rocker head covers?

Top of engine seems to be bone dry:wink:

there is also oil on the underside of the bonnet seems to be droping onto belts ans spraying it upwards!

your photos are rather close, are we looking at the top of the engine or bottom, id start at the top and work my way down the engine, cam cover gasket, cam seals, head gasket, oil pan seal, crank oil seal front / back, oil filter bracket, oil filter, any thing that basically uses something to seal the oil in

Sorry mate top looking into front of engine, i took these pictures because this seems to be the wettest place!

I think its the front crank oil seal myself, but apparently this is quite rare?

What about the camshaft seals, mine were leaking on the passenger side of the engine, ran down the outside face of the plate behind the timing belt/gears and dropped onto the air cond compressor, complete bugger to see though, I ended up taking the belt/cam gears off then removed the plate and the oil leak could be seen. I had previously resealed the pass side outer rocker cover so I knew it wasnt the cause.

Feesable John! thats what appears to be happening, will take more bits off tomorrow and see whats what.

The cam seals are the usual culprits in that area, not sure if stu had a ss one piece clutch line made, but if he did you may as well remove all the old clutch pipework?

No it won;t have the SS clutch line on there. Never got round to it.

Ithink the work on the clutch was done post stu days!

As far as I know the clutch was checked when the car stopped producing power(after trying to race from the traffic lights) Hi revs but nothing else.

At the time I said to Gubbins that it's more than likely the driveshaft rather than the clutch./ He got both check to find that he's dislocated the carbon driveshaft, so I don;t think the clutch was replaced or worked on. I know JeffTT examined the car so it may be worth asking him for any work he did or checked.

Did you not get any paper work post my ownership ?

Yes Stu will have a look threw, sorry you got to see her like this:pinch: promise it will look good again:yes:

On another note did the wing mirrors retract when you had it:blushing::blushing:

Here are some pics albeit of the passenger side with the cam front cover removed then the 2 gears and the plate at the back removed, oil can be clearly seen in the 2nd pic but you can feel it running down the back of the plate usually.

Not any more!! poss no power to console as i noticed my sat nav never charges on the way back from leighs when it was plugged in.

As far as I'm aware, the Folding mirrors and the lighter along with something else connects via the same fuse.

I'm not sure which one it is, but you can check them all via a multimeter if you have one.

It's gotta be fuse related. Unless it's been tampered with after I sold it.

Some people just don't know how to look after a car. I'm glad it's in good hands now.

Thanks for the info Stu, will look into it when back on 4 wheels.

It's just come to me. Rear winscreen wiper. I'm sure that's the other thing on that fuse circuit.
