Seriously, that is one nice car you've got there, but your current 99 spec rear lights play a big part in making it so nice.

just seen some close up shots of them and for some reason i thought they sat flush

and not recesed, think i'll stick with what ive got for now.

although one mod i've seen is making the center panels 300zx glow red and blue

blue when the side lights are on and red when you put the brakes on.

 

my brother said he seen this on his mates skyline years ago.

I would stick with the rear lights you got as i'm not keen on the venom's etc only (imo) though.... and yes you can get your rear side markers to light up red and also the 300zx logo in red when brakes applied.

I got very similar alloys on my one (if not identical), except they're totally corroded to buggery :( The finish on mine can't have been done properly ... previous owner (borderzed) said he was quite astonished at how rapidly they were deteriorating! I've noticed when cleaning them as well that the silver coating just flakes off in me hand! Yours look lovely when they're all nice and shiny though, I'll have to upload some photographs of mine for comparison ...

my last car had tsw thruxtons and they suffered the laquer whitening / clouding effect,

no matter how many times a cleaned them it still happened, think it starts when stone

chips scrape of the laquer and then the air gets into it.

 

In the end its all about how you drive and where with road conditions.
