This tip alot of u may not have seen before we do it at work alot as Vauxhalls are prone to this problem..(fading plastics...eg bumpers or door bump strips etc)

using a hot air gun on the faded plastic restores it to its former glory see pics!!

dogs lick it off as they pee on your wheel lol ... this tip restores the plastic without any silicone etc which will wash off in a couple of days although i still recomend applying plastic conditioner over the top to give it a nice shine & for some uv protection,

ok another little tip here,

when your foam mop head has had it dont throw it away !!!! break it up into handy sizes as this is ideal for applying plastic conditioner (make sure u use the under side opposed to the sdie thats got compound all over it when applying)

this saves on waste too ;-)

& sponge is much better to use than cloth!!

SDoc100 rules for cleaning crap off. Spray onto a dry car and leave for 30 mins before rinsing off (ignore the directions on the bottle and really leave on for 30 mins).

Muc-Off is pretty good but a lot cheaper.

I have a useful wheel cleaning tip I stole from DamoJ......

.........After washing the wheels, treat them with Rain-X. I have found all wheel waxes to be rubbish; the brake dust and crap just sticks to the wax and becomes waxy dirt!! But Rain-X really does help the wheels stay cleaner for longer!!

Top tip Damo - Thanks mate.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Think I may have to try that!

Is this the same stuff as this, do you know? The one works out less than half the price of the other, but then the logo is slightly different. I don't want to buy a poor quality imitation.

Yes that will do it.

both mate, i polish then stick a fair amount on. Next time you clean the wheels its so much easier, most of the dust will just wash off with a hose. The wheels will stay cleaner for a lot longer.
