Hi guys just noticed this in the last two days,when driving in top gear,by the way car is an auto,say the car is steady at 2500 rpm all of a sudden it will shoot up to 2800,when this happens of course i can hear it in the revs,dun the same at 3000 rpm jumps up to 3300,and does this oppisite way aswell high rev then drop a wee bit lower,have only noticed this in top gear,all pipes are tight and no air leaks. Any clues. once again any help would be appreciated.:biggrin::biggrin:

Mmm... sounds like the torque lock up on the autobox is dropping in and out, could be a throttle position sensor error, or could at worse a gearbox issue hope its not.

 

Get the tps checked out, and do an autobox diagnostic, the link below should help.
