I know this may seem a strange question, but have you removed the battery lately or had it changed?. As i had this on a 328 i had it turned out to be the positive connection was not as tight as it should have been.

Just a thought ;)

Yeah chaned the battery a few weeks ago, ill check thanks guys, I might just change the terminals for something a little better.

After it happened to me, i checked and i could of removed the connection with little effort so a good first point to check :)

Had the same thing happen on my Z last weekend?? Posted a thread on here about it. Left the car overnight then it's been fine ever since (touch wood)

Did stick some Redex in too in case it was some sort of fuel blockage to try and release it.

It could be the speed sensor. It happed all the time in the Supra (auto) once i came to a round about or a junction (low speeds ) it would just cut out.

You can by pass it on the supra with a single wire but im not sure on the zx
