These are a very bright bulb, could not be more pleased with them

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320498097429

I got them for £2.70 under auction from Hong Kong but notice they are bin for £2.99. :balloon:

I have clear side markers with normally clear bulbs but thought I would see how a red bulb would look in there.

Even wife stated how bright they were when i drove off today.

Fully recommend them :thumbup1:

Very bright matey!!!!

And a nice little slicktop in a great colour buddy!!!! :)

Al.

they are well funky! bargain too, thanks for sharing!

I have clear side markers but people comment on how pink the bulbs look, do you think these look red or pink?

  • Author

definitely red, pink is for girls dont you know!!!!!

could not be more red, thats why i recommended them, and very bright.

i am going to get some red lense side markers and try the bulbs behing these very soon, but dont take that to mean i am unhappy with my current set up, cos i am delighted.

Got the red side marker lenses and have fit, with of course the super bright red bulbs behind.

I think I will keep the red instead of the clear, for now anyway.

When I was photoing got someone to press the brake as I wanted to show how bright they were in comparison to the rear brakes and the markers go off!!!!! :confused1:

Then back on again when the brake pedal is lifted!!!! :mad2:

Is this normal?

Not sure I like that as I think I want them on all the time I have the lights on.

See on the photo how bright these are, compared to the rear lights, methinks they are as bright as the brake 21w, if not brighter.

And finally, I have ordered some of these same red bulbs but in white and I intend to fit these in the 2 x number plate lights, I have taken the lenses off here and cleaned in preperation - they were filthy!!!! :cursing:

No Its not normal, they should be on with the sidelights, did you wire them up to the number plate lights or tap into the rear lights?

I haven't wired them in Graham, already done when I got it from Mike.

My next job is to see where they pick up from, must be the rear lights I would of thought, mainly the stop tail circuit?

On another note I have severed the green/black 'light' wire that goes to the time clock, it now stays at full brightness all the time. I felt when it dimmed it dimmed tooo much. :tongue_smilie:

I would see where they pick up from too, it sounds like another part of a previous bodge, one of many you have encountered lol

Just seen the spotted thread after many months!!!!!

Have put a post on there.

Thanks for your comments on the vehicle, It is always nice to have a fellow member say its nice.

I have my business in Nelson but reside in Burnley.

And yes pay your subs!!!!!! :glare:

I would but without meaning to sound cheeky its slightly pointless for me as I don't own a 300zx, Although I do dream about owning one

I should see you around some time though fella, I'll give you a wave or something

Checked them out and they were connected to the stop/tail bulbs as we all suspected!!!!!

So if you want the side markers to go off when you brake - connect them here!!!!!!

I have now wired them with the number plate lights as they should of been done in the first place. In fact this would of taken no more time to do, so cannot understand why the stop/tails were used initially. :confused1:

As this thread is my recommendation of the red bulbs from Hong Kong, as previously mentioned these are the same in white

expect these will be as magnificent as the red ones, am going to put these in the number plate lights, I have bought 2 pairs, should be coming anyday. :tongue_smilie:

Have also bought 2 x more red ones for spares and 2 x blue ones, not sure I will fit these blue anywhere but you never know, I may just try them in the number plate lights, might just give it a slight blue illumination that the old bill will not bother about!!! :cool3:

  • Author

the white or clear bulbs/smd's linked in the post above are now fitted here in the number plate globes. :winkiss:

pretty bright i think.

one photo is taken in the fading light and the other when fully dark.

please note again the absolute redness/brightness of the side markers!!! :thumbup1:

cannot recommend these bulbs and this hong kong seller highly enough.

The number plate leds look really nice, much improved n the oem. I personally think the side markers a little too bright, they are supposed to be a low key side marker, NOT A FRIGGING FOG LIGHT :lol:

Andy, your bits will leave here tomorrow

Cheers

Graham

the pictures do make them look like a fog light but they are not as alarming in the flesh.

amazing though as they are only T10'S!!!

get your point though.

as stated above from the same seller i did get the blue ones and have fit them in the number plate globes, have a see for yourself but i am only playing about really.

i was right it just gives a blue illumination, it does not look as blue in real life!!!!!!

sorry one of the pics is a bit blurred.

i have fit some of my red ones and when its dark i will photo, expect these will be better and legal.

another couple of pics i have attached is the interior courtesy light bulb i have fitted and this is it, again same seller

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320497339473

it is nice, bright and white not yellow, does not fade away though of course being smd.

  • Author

as promised these are pics of the red illumination for the number plate.

they match perfectly the rear lights in both colour and brightness.

two pics when the light was fading and the other in darkness.

i am going to keep these in instead of the clear.

don't really know of a reason why these red are illegal.

sure someone will tell me though if i am to be corrected!!!!

They look good. ive fitted white ones in the vectra and they to look great

They were £5 in the uk

Further updates on my obsession with smd and led bulbs everywhere!!! :tt2:

I have fit these amber smd's which are the same as the red ones I have fitted everywhere

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320516287088&viewitem=

these I have put in the side clear indicators and as usual they are bright and recommended. :tt2:

These next ones, T5, I have fit in the two map lights and are white not a yellow colour and again recommended, just as bright as the filament bulbs that were in there
