Guys

Do any of you ever send cash in the post?. I know most posties have a bad rep but do you think they would actually take a £5 note with a stamp in the corner and address label on it?. Maybe with a note on the back begging them to be honest and deliver it?

Could they resist it in open sight?????

So this is what I propose someone give me their address and I will send a £5 note with a stamp on the corner and an address label on the front and then lets see if you get it?.

If you do you should do the same to someone on the forum until it gets stolen in the post.

I will post pictures of it

go on Si you are good with words.

I penned a little story and sent it, a link to this thread to yourpics@bbc and some tabloid news papers.... that I never ever read....somehow doubt this would make it onto a broadsheet!

I don't think I'll get a response from either. Especially BBC, despite there being a thing for funny/odd news on their website.

I remember doing this and sending it in to them a few years ago and got no response.

No point linking to this thread, unless they are registered, all they're going to get is a Please log in area.

Was quality that it arrived though, made me feel all warm and bubbly inside lol

+1 to the Royal mail service.

I did tell them they need to register to see the thread in the email I sent. No biggy doing that though. :)

Am i the only one who wasnt surprised it was delivered? The novelty factor and the potential that it had been sent by a post office employee as a stooge to weed out the thieves meant it was very likely to be delivered.

My thoughts exactly !!

Have you seen how many people work at sorting offices? I somehow doubt anyone would be able to trace a fiver.

QUALITY love this thread ...now whats next to be sent naked??

Im sure Si said he'd send the latest edition of Club International if the fiver arrived.

If it had been intentionally posted to catch people out (which it was) they would follow its progress, nobody in their right mind would take the chance for a fiver. It's too blatant and very different from the postie opening birthday cards. To be honest it wouldnt surprise me if Royal Mail did adopt similar practicies to weed out the undesirables.

I have some porno DVD's I can send for a laugh.

Probalby Gay ones so count me out please

lol cracking idea - perhaps a couple of decades ago it would reach its destination but in this day and age i fear the worst. not just the postie but all the peeps in the sorting office (probably immigrants)...

...in fact thats a rediculous idea you're gonna lose that money!

...in fact if that fiver reaches Si and makes it back to you, I'll donate a fiver to a charity of your choice. how's about that. :)

as above Im really pleasantly surprised it made it and with such care as well

well seeing as the fiver will get back to its owner safely ( :sailor: ) it looks like I'm up - Madmax post up or PM me which charity you want this going to! (and dont say your rebuild charity :slap: )

Probably Gay ones so count me out please as I've probably already got it

great news that it arrived, and a credit to the system.

OMFG that is absolutely amazing, today just for a moment I am proud to be British!!!

I am so shocked that someone from Royal mail took the time to look at it, read it, then stick it in an envelope to make sure it got to you. Would have been really funny to get a post mark but I guess that is the whole defacing the queen bit.

Im gob smacked well done posties!! see if they have a forum and post it on there!!

That is excellent news Martin and Si:punk:

I must admit I didn't think it would turn up - not only did it arrive, but it was on time as well!! So 2 gold stars for the Royal Mail.

Richard:clap:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
