Guys

Do any of you ever send cash in the post?. I know most posties have a bad rep but do you think they would actually take a £5 note with a stamp in the corner and address label on it?. Maybe with a note on the back begging them to be honest and deliver it?

Could they resist it in open sight?????

So this is what I propose someone give me their address and I will send a £5 note with a stamp on the corner and an address label on the front and then lets see if you get it?.

If you do you should do the same to someone on the forum until it gets stolen in the post.

I will post pictures of it

Make it look like a regular business sized letter and I am sure you'll be fine. Don't just put a fiver in the envelope on its own.

No im actually posting the note with a stamp on the corner.. I need someoones address

Ive sent cash in the post before, but in a proper post office registered cash bag, they seem to have stopped doing that now, I use a jiffa bag, no problems, but im not sure if you will get away with sending a fiver with a stamp on it, good to see the results though.

And you lot think I`m mental! :whistling:

Yeah, there's no excuse for bad taste!

Ok I have the address I have stuck a label on the back as well with the following message on.

Dear Mr Postie, this is my life savings!. please prove just how honest the postal service is and deliver my life savings to the addressee.

I HAVE FAITH IN YOUR HONESTY

lol, i dont reckon it will make it past the sorting office, you gonna put a return to sender address on it?

Just gave it to someone in reception to post, after she said "your having a laugh" she said it would definately get stolen. But then said any letter is insured for up to £40 with royal mail or something even if it is not special delivery etc... not sure if it is right.

Probably get done for defacing the Queens currency by sticking things on it !

lol cracking idea - perhaps a couple of decades ago it would reach its destination but in this day and age i fear the worst. not just the postie but all the peeps in the sorting office (probably immigrants)...

...in fact thats a rediculous idea you're gonna lose that money!

...in fact if that fiver reaches Si and makes it back to you, I'll donate a fiver to a charity of your choice. how's about that. :)

Here you go, this is how it went in the post with the address on the label. Im 99% sure someone will take it before it gets there but lets see. If it goes walkies perhaps we should try it again special delivery?
