Hi folk,

 

Was driving home today and the steering wheel started juddering, getting faster when i speed up. Lasted about 5min then went away. Also the brake pedal seemed to be soft and needed pumped when ever i stopped.

 

This is the 2nd time its happened but weeks apart. Any ideas?

could be a sticking caliper and a warped disc. Do you know if your discs were hot etc?? could even be your brake flexi pipe has broken down inside and acting like a one way valve.

 

I might be wrong but it has happend to me a couple times in the past. same symptons etc

just out of curiosity, if your steering wheel starts shaking. why did you speed up? lol

 

Check your bolts on the wheels while you are there, simple things first.

pulled over 1st and went round all 4 wheels, all ok. had a look. nothing loose so drove it home.

You speed up because your peed off. Thats what i do anyway :lol:

lol true, i just checked my brake fluid there and the washer on the cap is all twisted. any ideas where i can get a new one and would this cause any problems?

doubt it. but cant be good for your brake fluid level.

 

I suppose id speed up, just to get that lower arm massage free of charge :lol:
