Thought I would get a quote for car insurance from adrain flux yesterday. Would you believe the quote is £5115.72 OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im 24 (25 in 4months) with 2 years ncb which is on my bmw and a clean license. Obviously its a second car and minimum miles and a low evaluation. Now I know im young and its an import but my insurance renewal was £950 when I took the car off the road in august 09.

Any reason for this high price?

Are there any recomended places to try?

I got a pretty good deal with Performance Direct on a classic policy, although as has been said you won't be able to do that till you're 25. Good thing about Performance Direct was that the car didn't have to be garaged to qualify for the classic policy, and also they'll let you modify it (as I see yours is), which most classic policies won't let you do.

I was with Elephant before that on a normal policy and they were OK provided you paid all in one go.

How near Shrewsbury are you? I'll have to keep an eye out for you when you get back on the road.

im 23 and pay approx 600 a year for trade insurance, i have 1 ncb, 8 points and a previous 2 ban's.

im with DNA insurance..

its great because its peace of mind, dont matter what car you jump in, your covered.

how the hell did you manage that :lol:

I popped into my local swinton had a chat for about 30mins. and it was just under £150. Iam 36 with full ncd and no points.

Never did like Adrian Nash, they were not very good when I tried them. I have moved on and now happy.

p.s How heavy is the old rubber spoiler lol! Took it off yesterday and my boot stays up now

why do we have adrian flux banner on here? there cuotes are always higher.

i asked for a quote the other week on classic and they said they couldnt insure that on a classic car policy even tho its 17 years old.

they are rubbish.

I agree, why are they still here, they are not a particularly good company! could we not have an option as to who we see advertised here!
