Hi Guys, I`m just in the process of putting some rear speakers in the vert, I was going to fit a sub between the seats on the moulding at the rear(the cover about shoulder level), but when i lifted the cover i found a metal structural bar right below :cursing:

So where have you guys put your speakers/sub`s?

Pics would be nice

Cheers Daz.

Put the sub in the boot. I know of one in a Vert with a 12" in the boot and the bass carried through really well.

No need for rear speakers, just stick to quality fronts, but if you insist then I also know of a vert with the speakers exactly where you mentioned, but he turned the Panel upside down and recovered it, so it gave him more depth for the speakers beneath.

Apache's old Z has one of those slimline Subs with built in Amp sitting on top of that panel also.

think your fooked in a vert CAR.MAD

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I need rear speakers, i cant hear fook all when the lids off

I`ve got a little recess behind the seats, but would like to keep that clear as its handy!! just thought some peeps might have come throught the boot?

Oh by the way whilst your on Dave, What exacly do you need from the centre of the car? is it just the rear console(with the lid)? ie the plastic box behind the mirror controls? its quite big 18"long?

Cheers mate, what do you recommend as quality fronts? I am no headbanger and dont have music pumping whilst driving through towns, but when the lid is off the music is distorted, i could live without rears, if the fronts were good enough, i cant spend fortunes though:wink:

Spend the most you can on Front components. a 6.5" mid with seperate tweeter. Everyone has a favourite brand - Infiniti Kappa, Diamond Audio, Phoenix gold ..etc but any of the big brands (pioneer..etc) top of the line stuff is decent quality.

Mount the mid in stock location, and fit the Tweeter at the top of door card. Most can be flush mounted for an OEM look.

You'll let them deal with all your Mid and high tones, while the amplified sub handles your Bass.
