Hmmmm ... I wasn't going to post anything with regard to the car mats until I'm completely satisfied with the quality but what the hell!

 

I'm working with two companies who can supply excellent quality matting for our cars (it took me three weeks to produce a template that fits perfectly). As I stated before, I'm not yet happy with everything and will probably need three weeks to a month to sort prototype issues out. Once I'm happy I'll post again. At the moment the options I'm looking at are:

 

different colour mat material (i.e., black, grey, red, yellow (?), etc.)

different colour piping (stitching around the edge)

different material heelplate (driverside only) - i.e., mat material or metal

Z-logo (not too sure about this as it entails a copyright infringement and neither company is willing to do this at the moment.) What they will do is stitch in for example "300ZX" or "Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo" or something like that.

 

In due course I'll have all the info/options available and will repost on this forum.

PS - I'm also looking to produce boot area over-mats in the same style as the footwell mats. This isn't as easy as it appears that most Zeds vary slightly in the design of the boot - don't ask why ...

I would be interested in those, my after market ones are shite. What sort of price are we looking at?
