Featured Replies

gb sounds good to me!

I think I've got one. Am I right in saying only the UK cars have them ??? If you describe what it looks like and its dimensions, then I'll endeavour to dig it out.

Thanks

the autobox oil cooler sits below the air filter,in front of the fans.

think its about the size of the intercoolers, pretty small.

how much m8.jay

That sounds like the engine oil cooler to me. The autobox cooler is an aftermarket mod and will only be fitted to a small number of cars - normally ones that have had autobox rebuilds !

This is what mine used to look like (when I still had an auto :-

the big or small one Andy? Im presuming the small one, if thats right whats the big one?

The manky looking one on the left is the engine oil cooler, the clean one on the right is the autobox oil cooler.

Anyone got a tel number for SE Nissan and who to speak to for an autobox oil cooler kit?

OK I called them and I thought that only Nissan prices were high!

The SE Nissan Z32 Automatic gearbox Oil Cooler kit comes complete as a 15 line rad with all pipes and brackets required to fit it. Cost £249.99 including VAT + delivery. None in stock for 7/10 days told to call back in a week.

Tel: 01621-858856

Email: info@se-nissan.com

I think I will wait for JeffTT to come up with one.

Jay,

If you mean me then my cooler was done by SE as part of my gearbox rebuild.

I hesitate to use the word 'Toyota' on this Forum but...

For information the Supra Turbo (old one - Mid 90's)uses a similar device as standard. The unions are the right size, and the mountings are no different to the aftermarket type. Supra's are worthless and the gearbox's never go wrong, so I didn't find it too hard to come up with one of these at my local scappy (8s & 10s and a pair of cutters)

This was the budget fix that I used 5000 miles ago, and it's still working...

andy, how many radiators/coolers does a standard zed have? 3 plus the intercoolers and 1 at the back of ya car(near rear wheels?

www.thinkauto.com charged me £87 all in for 13 row oil cooler 230mm wide 3/8 bsp male, 3/8 bsp elbow joints, 3m 3/8 bsp stainless steel braided pipe and two brackets and VAT and delivery.
