Is it true that UK cars have adjustable dampers? Because if they do then why is there no mention of it in my owners manual? And if it is true, is it also true (as I've read on here) that you adjust them by pulling the handbrake up one click? (again why no mention in the handbook). I've tried it in mine, and I'm fairly sure I can feel a difference in the ride/handling, but I can't quite believe that any car manufacturer would seriously use the handbrake lever as the switch, so I wonder if I'm just telling myself there is a difference?

Yes, UK models definatly have rear Adjustable dampers with electronic actuators. You can check yourself just by removing the boot trim to access the top of dampers.

i have never followed the wiring myself but according to the Wiring diagrams in owners manual it only goes to the handbrake switch and warning light.

In the Owners manual it shows using the handbrake switch to diagnose the rear suspension adjustable damping. No mention of how it operates in any other way.

Its a Mystery !

U.S models have adjustable front and rear shock absorbers with a switch to change from Soft to Hard, where the Mirror contols normally are.

I wonder if its connected to the HICAS in some way, so actuates under hard cornering? Strange that no mention is made in the owners manuals!
