Some of the Window trim pieces are very expensive, such as the rear window rubber. If the Bodyshop wants to remove them then check prices with MJP first so you know all the costs. The clips for the Roof trim strips often break on removal.

If your having extra's done such as removing rear wiper, despoilered..etc then be aware that the tailgate is componsed of an thin outer and inner skin and any holes larger than .5mm should be welded rather than just fibreglassed/fillered, as the skin has a lot of flex.

Many thanks!

* Rear spoiler has been removed and looking for a new one.

* What about the end trim pieces in the removeable roof windows?

- They had bits broken off when I bought the car in 94, are they available, changeable etc?

You can get them from Mike Feeney in the traders section :)

The most important thing is to pick the right paintshop. pop along during the day and see their work in progress and also finished items, of which you need to give a close inspection. If your happy with what you see and the price is within your budget, press on.

The guy doing it is quite an enthusiast for re-finishing cars. I saw his own Farari Dino he'd renovated, plus a couple Masuratis he owns too. Finishes like glass, seems to take a lot of care.

They do a lot of really old vintage cars too and feel confident I'll get the attention to detail I'm looking for.
