Help help........ Got a fairlady twin turbo auto bought the car with knackered gearbox , so bought another one then when car was put on ramp no propshaft great...got another one but heres the fun bit it doesnt fit the one i bought the spline is a lot bigger on the gearbox i bought so the prop will not fit...anyone help me cos its doin me nut in

i just fitted a tt auto box in my car found the prop was larger splined had to sorce another prop you will need to get it balanced though have had to take mine back off to get it balanced as felt like being sat in a massage chair lol all the best

Thats normally a sign of the centre bearing gone, it causes vibration, especially 40-60mph rather than prop balance.

Fair play, if youve replaced the 2 culprits, then you can be pretty sure its the prop balance, not as common a problem as the previous two mentioned lol

my prop is made up from tt front prop and na rear prop so was bound to have a problem somewhere
