Hi peeps,

I am looking to get myself a chainsaw for cutting some logs for my fire. My brother is a gardener, and says "the only one to get is sthil, mculloc, or similar. Now, i as i have said to him, i am not looking for the "be all, and end all" of chainsaws, just something that will cut some logs for a few days ready for the cold season, anyway, i have seen this on e-bay and just wanted to know what you all thought. (A bit long winded......soz).

we were only discussing this in work the other day. I work with a lot of powerful machinery in work, rip saws, band saws, spindle moulders, cut off saws, routers all of which under our h&s rules have to be fully trained up on. I've been using them for over 20 years and we still have to do it every so often but joe public can go and buy the same kit with no training or licence.

I can't however drive at 36mph in a 30 zone because that would be dangerous and the law says no!

Don't you just love this country......

......bloody EEC and H&S executive. Killjoys; all of them......:gun_bandana:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I own woodland and last year went to B&Q and bought a mcculoch just because it was not very expensive. Me and my friend cut down over 20 trees with it, easily good enough to do what you want it for. Im talking big trees as well!!
