I have a 91 UK 300zx which by the looks of it has the original wheels it was born with.

I have looked up some companies who recondition wheels and they work out about 120 quid for a full set.

Anyone had this done? What are the results like? Do they last?

Thanks.

I had a pair or rears done by Spit 'n' Polish, pretty good finish, cost about £79 I think which included a small weld/repair. The finish is silver powdercoating which is easier to clean, and slightly shinier than the original.

Hi,

I had the wheels on my previous car reconditioned by a company in Birmingham called Lap-Tab UK.(www.lap-tab.co.uk)

They chemically stripped, blasted and then powder coated and laquered the wheels, for approx £112.

The finish was very good, and will last as long as the laquer doesn't get damaged. The finish acheived depends on the state of the wheels you provide.

Thanks everyone,

Jez - I think I will go for the company you suggested as I live in Rugby, and Birmingham isn't too far away.

I will take some before and after shots so that people can see the difference.

Thanks again.

Hi,

Lap-Tab did a good job on my Z31 wheels, and I can recommend them! I will probably get my current wheels done there as well.

Daft questions but what is OEM, i see it quite often and never have a clue as to what it stands for. I think it means stock Nissan parts.

Can someone put me right on this one.
