tried to fit my hardpipes this evening and had to resort to putting back on the originals.

it seems that the pipes are too long?!

also there is a breather pipe from the rocker covers that will not reach the new hardpipe. this pipe has a sediment filter and washer in them so cannot just rerplace with a new bit of pipe.

anybody who owns a non turbo ever had this issue.

see pics for a better understanding of my problem

i can cut the pipes down to get them to fit the space but what do i do about the breathers??

Mine were the same with fitment issues Gaz, replaced the breather pipes for longer ones and extended the pcv hoses, you will need to sit the hardpipes just at the correct angle for everythng to align.

My hardpipes where to long before however i tried to fit them.......................

so i just took a grinder to them and trimmed them back abit, as its getting hidden by the rubber anyways, then just took the rough edges off with a file and hey presto.lol.

Suppose its abit of a cowboy way but was the only way i was getting them on!

glad it isnt just me then. what concerns me is that the breather pipes have a filter (pipe cleaner and washer ) in them , dont want to just replace with a piece of hose and risk dragging gunk through my inlet.

is there a way of transferring the filter to another pipe?

Should only be the pcv pipes with the filters in mate which you just need to extend. The large hose on the right (standing front of the engine bay) and small hose on the left can just be replaced ;)

use a joiner to extend the pipe rather than replace it?? eg metal pipe inserted as a joiner the rubber oil resistant pipe to extend usuing hose clamps to attach!
