What would be the best things to make sure things are ok prior to track racing , im guessing tyres/trye pressure, brakes, engine oil, gear box oil & powersteering fluid but anything else or anything that you would recomend , i will be going to Snetterton - Thursday 15th April 2010 and want to make sure the car is properly ready dont want to be breaking anything ,

If anyone wants to meet me there i will happly meet up with you guys , could have a mini meet i guess if so im going to booking here soon

the most important & the one fundermental factor that should never be over looked not only on track days but in everyday use, as it could have a real bad effect on lap times & aswell as overall running & speed of the car, it will not take long to check but can be tricky to master ........now the how to with full detailed instructions:: ok 1st turn ignition on wait about 30 seconds then look at the main instrument panel you will notice to the far right there will be a guage this is know as the FUEL GUAGE...make sure theres enough in it!!!!!!! :clap:lol sorry couldnt resist:scooter::yes:

lol ...nice looking zed u got there i had that kit on mine but my car has been lowered i found out after fitting it...it would'nt go over anything...tall ants were a problem lol.. so got another bumper waiting to go on..my stock one is buggered

Yeah i do love the kit thats on it but it is a pain , it does scuff alot of the times, thought about bigger wheels etc , maybe tyres etc but i think im getting better at gauging the roads better now

Hey virus,

I have done a track day at Snertton, great fun. The only thing to check is making sure the car is running good, really. I will be off that day so i may come up and join you.

Who did you book with, was it Motorsport vision? Have you booked a day or evening? Is it open pit lane, or novice, intermediate or advanced?

That date above is novice only but its a full day @ 139

or 15th apr open pit lane @ £159 (Full Day)

or 19th March (NOVICE) Full Day @ £109

im flexible on these at the moment

But once a date is confirmed i will book , Friday 30 April just gives me time to sort small minor bits out thats all

I would go for the open pit lane matey, gives you more time on the track, when you want to go on the track. With a novice track day you will get mostly inexperienced drivers who want to try cornering at high speed (+30mph) and go fast on the straights (+90). IMO i would avoid a novice day. A 300 is too fast for this. Open pit lane is, as it says, including cars like.... kit cars, tvr's, porsche's, scooby's, evo's, etc.

I will have a look over the next few days at motorsportvision and see what they are offering around that time.

You might have seen this, but this is what i booked last year, but it was only an evening which was £89 and you get 3hrs of driving. For £20 more that the novice day, it is by far a better track day experience.

yeah its in my first post bud thats were i was going to book

Whatever date you book, get there early. I don't know if you have done a track day at Snetterton before but, you can get a "garage" which is open pit side and drive side. Nice to keep the car in the "garage", go do some laps, come back to the garage, set the car up a little, back on the track, etc, you get the idea. Let me know what you book and i will try to get there with you, 2 zeds on a track would be great.

2 zeds would be great but if we could rally more that would be better , ill book the 15th apr open pit lane @ £159 (Full Day) with garage and my missus as she wants to come

Make sure you do not run out of fuel on track, that's a heavy fine. Make sure the tow eyes are indicated and accessable. Change the brake/clutch fluid to DOT5 or better. Anything in the car that aint bolted in, take it out. Check all other fluid levels every time you go back to the pits. Take a small pump for a few extra psi in the tyres. And the most important of all, put your hat on and have some fun.

Fuel is on site matey, towing eyes are not an issue at Snetterton, "bits in ur car" is an issue as you say, "must be a clean car", so to speak. And yes, "put ur hat on", as in all track days, lids must be worn.
