Hi guys,

I'm trying not to be lazy and have searched the site, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Are there any threads that can give the low-down on wheel spacers?

I know very little about them but do know that I would like both my front and rear wheels to move out just that little bit.

I suppose what I would like to know is:

- what are they?

- how are they fitted?

- what kind of sizes can you get?

- what are the pros and cons?

- do they wear out and how often?

- where can I get them from?

The questions may sound abit simple, but any advice appreciated.

Thanks.

1st off you need hubcentric to stop vibration and unless your getting longer studs or very small spacers you will have to get bolt on spacers. ultralite hubcentric spacers are the way to go. just got 4 25mm bolt on spacers for mine. not cheap though. about 90 quid for 2. they are on ebay. doubt they will wear out. cons are price.

Sizes vary from 3mm - 60mm. Most likely you will get 20-25mm on front (Wheel may scrub arch on full lock) and you may only need 10-15mm on the rears. Or just get 25mm all round.

Piss to fit, Wheel off put spacer on, wheel on Jobs a gooden :) Make sure they are 5stud and 114.3PCD (space between the holes)

PCD is the diameter of the imaginary circle which the studs form.

Just to claify that so Shamaz doesn't expect 114.3 between each stud

I will have 4 X 25mm Hub centric from driftworks up for sale soon, i only had them on the car since December 09, only reason im selling is because i got new alloys. Let me know if you want them

I have 25mm H&R spacers on the front and 15mm H&R spacers on the rear. They are both hub-centric, but i machined the rears down to 6mm, for a more even look. Check out my ride section for pics. Well worth the money, gives the 300 a more aggresive stance.

I have 5mm spacers on the front of mine, just so the wheel clears the calliper. But i dont think they are hubcentric ones as i do get vibration, and ive had all wheels balanced. Were can i get 5mm hubcentric ones and would i need to do the rears? Not looking for a wider stance, just need to clear them front callipers.

cheers

These are the cheap version of wheel spacers that i have on my car, the one in the picture is 3mm, but i have 10mm on my car, only cost about a tenner and i have had no problems.Sorry about the blurred photo, my camera is refusing to go Macro?

It will be hard to find a set of hub-centric spacers at 5mm, most start at approx 15-20 (they need the thickness to make them pick up on the hub). The only option is to buy a thicker set and machine them down to your prefered size. (As i did).
