yeah looks nice, i seen the nismo one but i want one with a gauge on!:blushing::thumbup:

dan.:cool3:

I was gonna go down this route as my 300 is detting over 15.5 PSI, and am told by jimmer and j.d. that with the mods i got i can go higher, up to 19-20 PSI, so, i thought get a a.f.p.r. but am not sure. Would be good to see the outcome here.

Al.

Do you really need to up the fuel pressure when running under 500bhp???

oem regulators are, imo, by far good enough for up to 500bhp. I think when you get into the realms of big tubs, big injectors, double fuel pumps, then yes, a good a/m a.f.p.r. is a must. As for me, not to sure yet, unless any tech's can sway my opinion with stats.

hmmm interesting, im wondering if i need one for my mapping session coming up soon? maybe John Dixon can help.

If you get a FPR then make sure it is a 1:1 ratio and not a rising rate type which rises at a rate greater than 1:1.

I have the larger of the two SARD FPR fitted as pics below. They are not cheap though lol. Two gauges fitted to fuel lines. One intake and one out.(Don't ask lol).

If you are getting your car mapped then the only reason to fit an AFPR is if your injectors are maxed out at stock pressure. If they're not then it's just wasting money, you adjust the fuelling from the fuel map, not the injector pressure!

They're often fitted if the car is not mapped as a crude way of enriching the fuelling but it's not the right way to do it - adjusts it everywhere.

No idea what this recent fascination with Adjustable FRP's is all about.

well standart fpr is rather cheaply looking item so whoever fancy something better looking and perhaps in different location thats the way to go ..

ok i may stay as is then! after some digging came across this: This would be a ideal item to replace once every 7 years as the diaphram inside has a tendancy to get stuck on old units. How can you check if yours been changed out or not? Well a good hint is that the factory ones that came out from Nissan were originally paint flat black, so if you have a black one, its the VERY old version that is more then 12+ years old!!
