...does anyone know whether stock 350z brakes will fit the 300zx without any fiddling about (brackets, etc).

Also...are they as good as a R33 upgrade or better even??

Featured Replies

They are the same as R33 and R34 GTR Brembo's but the offset and rear fitment is different, which means you must use 350z discs, and you may have slightly reduced wheel spoke clearance.

The Fronts require the bolt holes to be resized, but the rears are a total pita to fit. Requireing either custom brackets or cutting and rewelding of the hub.

Much easier to use GTR rears which bolt straight on...which typically means its easier just to buy GTR fronts at the same time anyway.

Thanks for the quick reply dude!

Exactly what I needed to know albeit it means I probably won't go for the set I found...

But you are saying that R34 GTRs are as good and easy to fit as R33? The search continues....

cheers bud

Have you priced up new ones,You dont need the bells, just the outer disc.Youll need to measure the diameter. Those discs are not made specific to the car they are just sold by dimensions. You swap the new disc onto the old bells.Once youve got the dimensions google them. They are made by AP racing.

I've tried bud but it's a pita finding a supplier of AP discs without bells! I've got an enquiry outstanding with one so will see what they come back with but just seeing what else is out there to be honest. If I can bag a decent set of upgraded calipers at the same time along with decent discs I may as well....

Baz,

I work closely with an AP Racing distributor and engineering firm local to me. If you pass me your exact requirements I can make an enquiry on your behalf.

Regards,

Dan
