Been looking at getting a guitar, strat copies, etc etc was all set to get a Behringer USB model, when my Partners Uncle says i can borrow his old one, i say why not, thanks (thinking if its rubbish, i'll stick it under the bed and buy one anyway)

 

Well imagine my surprise when he got out a Epiphone Les Paul Gibson. If you know guitars you know this costs £350..

 

Well all i can say is i wont be sticking this under the bed!

Not a bad guitar at all tbh, you can't really tell the difference unless you have a good ear for sound.

 

My bro has the gibson les paul studio but that set him back just over a grand, can't tell the difference myself but he assures me it was worth the extra money :rofl: lol

 

They're very heavy guitars as well for their size

this reminds me that my bro-in law gave my eldest son a guitar a couple of years back... we went to a music shop a few months later to get my son a new one/upgrade with some birthday money...the shop owner said what you got now...my son said a tanglewood something or other...turns out they are quality and good money guitars and not worth upgrading unless you're spending £1000's...very nice of the shop owner not to sell us something for the hell of it

Its as much how they play as it is how they sound when it comes to the difference between cheap and expensive guitars. You might not hear much of a difference but the playing experience is very different. Its like an NA Zed and a TT Zed. Look the same but very very different to drive ;)
