This club is amazing and has so many great members, including Madmax

 

I set off nice and early for my drive from Southport to Southampton in my trusty Vito, only took 4 1/2 hours there and 3 1/2 hours back!! and well worth the journey as I met Madmax and madmax`s car, It`s amazing and is going to be a beast!!! no expense has been spared and he is doing a lot himself, all chromed parts new paint work and awesome zed porn everywhere, its going to take some patience to get it all back together, but it will be a show stopper

 

I have returned home with a van full of goodies !! Front set of brembos and discs, chrome powersteering pot, a good engine block, chrome pulley wheels, and Shreks gearbox, So i would like to say a massive thanks to Madmax for his amazing generosity, not only for giving me the engine block but inviting me into his beautiful home, making me a brew, and showing me his beast of a car/cars and showing me all his fantastic bits for his car, He has good words to say about the other members hes met, sussex Stu, FunkiSi, Yassa , jmwuk ect, and I`m sure they say the same thing about him

 

So Thanks again Madmax and I will deffo see you at the many meets this year and next :cool3:

 

Funny thing on the way home, Madmax text me to check if his cat `Winston` wasnt in the back of my van, I pulled off the motorway onto a quiet housing estate to check the cat wasnt having a ride back home with me, thankfully he wasnt and he returned home a few hours later, I visualized the cat darting from the van and getting squashed under a car :scared:

Guys you are welcome, its nice to know that some of the best bits from my car have found good homes. I really really want to get my car going for some of the shows but its a long way off at the moment but im sure its possible. Dazvert is a great guy and very funny.

 

I did think he had catnapped my cat Winston though ! lol. The last time I had seen him this morning was when he was milling around by the back of the van. He then vanished not returning home for dinner or coming when I called him, I text Daz to make sure he was not catnapped him by accident. I was thinking what would my Mrs do if the cat was up north and run out the van....

 

Fortunately he wondered in tonight from goodness knows where.

The short and easy answer is that it was a Port some time ago for small vessels and it is South of the main port of Preston, hence Southport.
