I have asked a similar question before, but didn't get a definative answer, as i think i made it far too unspecific.... Shortened version....

 

If I leave the EGR solenoid unplugged, but the EGR system is still installed, will it effect the running of the car?

is the EGR actually useful for anything? there seems to be alot of owners that have removed it.

cheers..... it's exhaust gas recycle, to do with the emmisions and all that tree hugging borrocks...

It's still in, but the connector from my LHD new loom wont reach the solenoid, so balls to it, i'll just leave it off, but next time the engine is out (which i hope wont be anytime soon) i'll scrap the lot.... cheers...
