The torque convertor needs to be on the gearbox BEFORE you put the engine back in.

Yes are stock boost jets.. and will stick to a auto for now.

When you are ready madmax give me a shout. Also have some remotes now.

Do you put the boost jets in the hoses for non stock set ups?, I have used braided hose but any hoses with fittings in we transferred is this correct for aftermarket tubs as well?

Running a stock set up so no boost jets for me. Might put a boost controller in later.

Dont think you will need boost jets as looking at all you stuff I think you have a boost controller.

Ahhh Iit all confuses me all these little pipes with brass things in, so if you have a boost controller do you take them out?.

In your last pic two of the blue hoses from the tubs on each side had little brass things in, we pushed them out with a screwdriver and put them into the new braided ones.

Check your old ones by cutting them into small pieces, I have new hoses that I have bought that go elsewhere on the car that have them in as well. Now im not sure if I should keep them in or remove them?.

The stock hoses feeding the wastegates have restrictors in like boost jets so if youve junked the originals your boost will be lower unless your running an ebc.

Sorry Jimmer just so thickies like me get this so stock = put them back in. And aftermarket + EBC = remove them?.

/\/\/\/\/\ Read this......most important or you could end up needing a new one.

For you bud its simple, run 6mm id pipe straight to your tubs, anyone using stock tubs with the wastegate soleniods you should keep the restrictors that are fitted in the stock pipes or you will struggle to make decent boost.

A good mate of mine worked at a Jaguar dealer and a guy tried to force a torque convertor onto a box by pulling it in with the bellhousing bolts :scared:

It ended in disaster. The box was scrap after.

I had the same thing when a so called mechanic at work offered to help me fit a new autobox in a Vauxhall Senator i had , he also pulled it up on the bolts ignoring my concerns , made a right racket on start up :hammer:I pulled the box again , the torque converter hadn,t located properly onto the oil pump drive slots and cracked the drive cog , luckily managed to swap the one out the old box.

There,s mechanics and then there,s the type of person who should just work in a tyre and exhaust centre uess which one i copped for :cursing::cursing:
