Has anyone painted their scuttle panels at all. I dont want any gaudy colours just a nice matt dark grey. Do the panels accept paint ok and is it better to rub down with very fine sand paper first? is it better to use lacquer to protect them?????

I did mine with plastidip, which is like a sort of spray on rubber. Rub them down as normal, 2 coats of plastidip I then gave it 2 coats of satin lacquer to protect. They came up really good when finished.

I rubbed mine down with fine sandpaper then primed them. Gave them a couple of coats of black paint and a couple of coats of laquer. Came up braw!

I remember johnwayne 300zx done his a short while ago, looked great when finished :)

and i think that was with plasticoat

They do crop up here and on flea-bay from time to time, but there not cheap from Nissan :(
