Is any one running Conzult on Windows 7? I'm thinking about getting a new laptop which will have win7 on it, but I need to know if Conzult will still work as this is the main reason for the laptop. I've got the usb convertor so connecting it isn't a problem.

Good Question. Is it 32 bit or 64 bit operating system you are getting?

This is not a definitive answer as I've not personally tested it, but I believe that W7 can run any specific application in an XP emulation mode, so anything that worked under XP, can be expected to work under W7.

I have ran Conzult on Vista which is basicly the same, so it shouldn't be an issue.

You were lucky Mert and a lot better on PC's than the rest of us who had issues trying to get it to work with vista

Yea i'm running Conzult on Windows 7, have been since it came out last year on the beta test....so a good 7/8 months and not had any problems with it!

Dont think it doews work on mac...pretty sure its only windows based at the mo. I may be wrong though!!!

Guys, the issue here might be 32bit or 64bit version. No so much a problem if it is Vista or 7.

 

To be on the safer side, go for 32bit.

 

64bit version (has someone pointed out) can run 32bit applications in compatibility mode but it is not granted that it will run without issues.

Just to resurrect an old post with some further info.

 

Just reinstalled Conzult version 2.4 on a windows 7 64bit laptop. I was unable to get the programme to load, even trying to run it under previous versions tool in windows 7. Figured out you need to plug in your cable and install the drivers for your usb serial cable. Once this was done it loads up fine.
