I nervously started the old girl up today. its been exactly a month since I last drove her and she started first time! (albeit she'd been on charge the whole time). took her out for a nice long drive and apart from the occasional creak or groan the only things i noticed were a light tapping from the engine (which went after a few minutes), and the steering column vibrated slightly as i turned the wheel at rest, but that went after a few minutes too.

i'm chuffed to bits that she survived the weather we've been having - i 'treated' her to a quick wash with warm water and hope to use her again as a daily driver :gunsmilie:

...the only problem is I'd promised myself not to spend any more on her if there had been any problems getting her going today... now where's the Items for Sale section

Nice one Dave - see, the ZX is a reliable car really!!

I haven't used mine since 4 January; although that was the return drive from Cornwall were it performed faultlessly for 1000 miles or so!!

My SLK has been standing since before Christmas as I didn't want to use it in the snow. I hope that works OK when I take it our for a spin later this afternoon:blink:
