Morning meet up at Stirling services.

 

Fort William via Glencoe, stop for lunch.

 

Then on towards Applecross via the Bealach na Ba.

 

Camp overnight in Applecross which has a nice wee pub.......sorted!.

Saturday

 

A jont up the coast road to Ullapool.

 

Camp overnight, a good selection of pubs and eating places so we can decide when we get there!

Sunday

 

To be confirmed, but likely to be the Aviemore area.

 

As long as theres grub and a pub.

Homeward bound.

 

 

 

There isnt a great deal of travelling on the Saturday and Sunday planned, if you want I can change things around a bit probably easier if we discuss it at the next meeting

 

And of course, rather than eating out all the time we could opt to cook at the campsite "beans anyone"

How about making it a longer drive on the sunday. Say, round towards inverness or further down?

il need to let you know closer to the time as i may be changing jobs at the start of february and not sure exactly what my shifts ect will be as its testing the electrics at debenhams shops, maybe earn enough to get the car back on the road lol

Dear, dear, dear......wimps!

 

Ive done the trip up there after finishing work at 4, getting home, washed, changed, hooking up the caravan travelling up stopping of at Inverness for supplies (beer), and a mackie D, popping in for a visit to my sisters in Ullapool and still been in the campsite sipping a beer by 10:30. Granted the caravan was up on one wheel at times and I had to put everything back in the cupboards when I arrived but that was with a 90hp Pug, not with a 300hp grand tourer.....but hey ho! if thats what you want :biggrin:

In prep for the trip i'm thinking of installing a rig to my zed {cb radio for those under 21's}

 

Just wondering if any zed owners already have one setup and wheres the best place to

mount the antenna for it.

 

As far as rig goes i think i'll go for a Maycom EM27 as i've had one 10 years ago and they

have plenty of functions in a small box, also can get a din kit so they can mount under my

normal stereo.

 

Any tips ?

I am up for it.......but i have come home to ensure nothings happening, i may or may not have a 70th birthday party to attend.

Waiting on this being confirmed tho so not 100% sure if the party will go ahead. Its a request from the elder to have a birthday party, so this may be going ahead on the 21st.

 

If the party isnt happening im 100% there tho:D!

 

 

 

Edit.......just thinking........i could attend the day after the party the 22nd. meet up with you guys somewhere and join in for saturday, sunday and monday travels.

Noooooo! half expected this after your last post but hoped you would make it. Your gonna miss out on some great touring roads, built specially for the Z's :thumbup1:.

Andy seeing as only 2 of us able to head away on the Friday and the others want to meet up with us on the Saturday, how about we hold off until the Saturday and all go up together.

 

We can just move the plans back by a day. It will mean 1 less night away, Applecross, Ullapool then back down the road on the Monday.

Or if you want to arrange it maybe summerish time if noboday is away on holiday and shreks car might be finished?

Then there is the problem of school hols, etc making it difficult for folks to get away. And not to mention the midges will be far worse lol
