Yep sounds like it. It happened to me few months back. Jumped in the car to go home after work and it was dead:mad2:. Striped it out in 2 min so it was back to stock then she fired up.

Got a toad one fitted now

sounds like the battery is dead did it not jump start with the leads

The battery has been playing up for ages, had no life what so ever with the leads, the lights come on so their is power there, the fob still locks and alarms the car.

I'd get a new battery in there mate, sounds like it's dying.

Its will not be the battery though. because he can switch his headlights on. but he isnt getting any dash lights.

So my money is on the imobiliser

But on another note your battery may be on the way out but i doubt it related to your problem. Ive had to buy 2 this month gggrrrr

fairly sure that with the clifford alarm, if the car battery goes flat enough you need to enter the alarm code to reset it before it will respond to the key fob

You might also need to get it to re register the remotes. The Clifford system registers the remote to the alarm installed. Otherwise you use the valet code to get it mobilised again and then use the menu system to re register the remote fob back to the alarm. You need the manual in front of you to figure out the menu system access.

I just put new rechargeables in the siren unit as they were no longer holding charge and I think contributed to the car battery draining when left unused for a week or two.

Plug the laptop in mate and see what the alarm thinks it's doing.

The concept 650 has a non volatile memory so if the battery is disconnected while alarm is disarmed with fob then it will still be in that state when battery is reconnected and will not need to be recoded. Its onboard relays might be sticking due to the cold weather. the 650 cuts the main ignition feed and the starter feed

on my 650 the ignition lights don't come on if the imobaliser is armed (it auto arms) once when my battery went flat it all got confused and the imobaliser wouldnt turnn off and i had to enter my pin code on the toggle switch , then it was all fine

This happened to me a while back, turned out to be a loose connection between the alarm and the battery...

You can download the manual in pdf from the Clifford site. You can then see how to set the various settings also.

Its not my immobiliser, my mechanic has found that the fusebox under the drivers footwell is drenched, i can only imagine its comming in through the targas as these do leak, their is no live going to that box, the mechanic is stripping it all out saturday and hopefully sorting it, how can i stop these dam targas from leaking, ive tried the old vasaline?

theres a drain pipe that goes from the targa to under the car

check its not blocked

check the bottom isnt tucked back into the car

check the pipe isnt split near the fuse box

try pooring water into the pipe at the top and see where it comes out

or try blowing compressed air into it
