The drivers headlight (dipped)doesn't light properly and is dim and mainbeam doesn't work, is this likely to be the relay, fuse or another problem? i have tred a new earth but no change.

This sounds like a combination of problems and the earth could be part of it. The system is split between NS and OS so obviously checking fuses and wiring would be adviseable. A continuity check would also be recommended between the switch and the bulb holder which I know is not an easy job because of the lack of room around the back of the headlamps.
