Exhaust Temp Gauge

Guys I read these are important when you start running more boost.

 

Who knows what? Or are they a waste of time?

 

I also read that the CAT has EGT probe, when you De CAT these are removed. (no problem just ensure the wires don't short)

Just changing my exhaust over amongst other mods, Should I place an EGT in the down pipe just after the Turbo?

 

The manifold would be obvious place but a ******* to get too.
