The other day I was lucky enough to win an auction on ebay -

boost gauge,

vacuum gauge,

oil pressure gauge,

oil temp gauge,

a pillar triple pod trim,

din triple hole trim,

sandwich plate,

all senders and sensors,

vacuum piping...

for £10 + p+p :santa: woop woop, merry christmas, or so I thought.

Anyways, I get a message today, reading:

"This item aswell as others were being stored in a shared garage.

Upon reciving payment i went to collect the item to post aswell as others, however they seem to have been taken or moved without my approval. As a result i have issued a refund.

I am very sorry for this inconvenience. Should they turn up I will again contact you."

anyone else think this is utter bullshit? Sure, I wouldn't want to let that lot go for £10, but its a legal binding contract and surely he now has to supply the goods. And I want them lol. Any advice as to what I can do would be appreciated, thankzzzzz :taz::death::cursing::2guns::bow:

I got a bonnet for 99p, I emailed them to say do they want to sale it. Got an email back 99p if I could pick it up before the weekend. I asked for the address two weeks later nothing.

Just leave some nasty feed back that will make you happy.

Don't think there's anything you can do mate, He's given you your money back. Annoying, yes but that's ebay for you.

Thats why i always list buy it now so i get what i want :D

so you lied to break a legally binding contract, you should be reported

people like this is why i wont bid on ebay, makes the whole auction thing a farce

Maybee the guy is genuine, look at it from his perspective, I have been there with stuff going missing when without question I refunded, I would imagine the buyer was annoyed as well, but to take your perspective I do see where you are coming from. One small point is the guy has refunded so for me let it be.

The brush with stuff going missing I had, I would say i'd be majorly dissapointed with someone trying to push the legal aspect with a bid when there has been a refund issued.

Its not as though he went out to rip you off, ie list something, take your money and run, he has refunded.

Sorry but my 2p's worth.

Cheers and a happy new year everyone.

John

Iv had the same happen - pi$$es me off TBH. The guy I won some bits off said he didnt have them anymore - then relisted the same items!

I have let things go for silly money when people have won them - but thats just me I guess!

If you want more then list it with a reserve or a starting bid! Simples!

Prob is complete BS but not a great deal you can do & wouldnt let it bother you - at least you got your money back!

cheers for the comments guys... yeah maybe he is telling the truth, but I can see why he would try and bullsh!t his way out of it, but if he didn't want to sell it for £10 (starting bid, buy now was £90) then he should have put the starting bid higher. Nevermind, would have been a good bargain though! :(

My situation was different from yours in that stuff got lost, I can see what u mean with him putting the low starting bid, Why not put the starting bid higher as you say, would prob annoy me as well but in the end ya got yer cash back, abay at its best I am afraid.

Cheers John

It could be genuine or not. You can't prove it either way. That's eBay I used to be a platinum powerseller. No more over the past 3/4 years eBay has become a joke full of chancers, People that don't understand the community and eBay itself are in my opinion taking the piss with their massive fees and insistance on paypal etc as a seller it has made many things uncompetative to sell in the uk.

Some people think it's marks and spencer I just got sick of all the dumb ass buyers. Sorry I bid by mistake, sorry my kid bid. Etc after an auction saying oh that's not what I wanted. eBay is all in the buyers favour now so if a seller does not complete a transaction expect that. He probabaly did not put a high stRting bid or buy it mow price to avoid silly listing fees. Result is his and your time wasted. Thanks eBay

eBay can be good for lots of things it's all about the Ebay community but most people don't understand that or care anymore. rant over

report me then............

im not prepared to give something away thats worth £200 for 99p i think not..... thats why i said i only use buy it now, from now on.

But your right about bidding being a farce i never bid on things, i just go for buy it now, i havent got time to muck about with bids........
