Nice!!, I dont know much about football, infact i hate it!! BUT the only football match I`ve been to was at Ibrox stadium and i watched Celtic vs Rangers, Fookin brilliant!!!! Rangers won by the way!

I really enjoyed myself and the atmosphere was amazing!!!

Nice to see another teddy bear on here zerocooldel :ninja: WATP

Nice to see you've visited Ibrox as well DaZvert, I reckon you should take another trip up and bring your z31 with you, I live 5 mins from the stadium.

:offtopic: but how are the headlights on your z31? You got any rust inside there yet?

How long has it taken kris boyd to reach that record tho?

AS a celtic fan i can always say i think boyd is a great player but hes never going to live upto henrick larsson or be put in the same league as him.

There have been many discussions about this on footie forums and its hard to compare them as they are two totally different types of player but as far as goals are compared Boyd usually comes out on top...

Henrik has a slightly better goals to games ratio BUT you have to remember that Kris Boyd was playing in a poor Kilmarnock side when he scored many of these goals which was more of a challenge than Henrik playing in (what was at the time) a strong Celtic team. Henrik's goal tally was built up over 5 and half years, Boyd's has been over 9 years but the goals to games ratio still comes out close.

You also have to remember that Boyd is only 26, Henrik was a lot more experienced when he was scoring for Celtic, Boyd still has about 9 years of SPL life left if he wants it and by that point he would have obliterated the record...which wasn't a particularly hard feat as the SPL is still just a pup as it aint been around that long.

:duffer: well done Kris

Well said, can't just let the lad break the record and take credit, need to cast up and compare!

z31youngr300zx is right, the goal ration is 0.75 for Boyd and Larssons for celtic was 0.78 (SPL only no cups or europe).

Bearing in mind that Boyd is only now just about in his prime, and this record covers the time he was at (a bottom 6 of the league) Kilmarnock and then at the poorest Rangers team in many years...compare that to Henrik who was in his prime, playing in a stronger Celtic team than either of the current old firm teams...if Boyd was to stay at Rangers then he would beat many of the Gers records including McCoist's own goal scoring record for the club.

boyd will never be the all round player larsson was but larsson was never the goal scorer boyd is. given the right service boyd will score goals all day just hope we can hold onto him WATP

I thought the whole point of this comparison was that they ARE in the same league!?
