I was originally with Adrian Flux but they were nearly £100 more than Houghton. Although classic is great if you are looking to get the full value of your car back should it be smashed up, I found the cheapest by far was to put both my cars with Admiral - you normally need to have a runner on classic anyway so you will still need to insure two car. Couldn't believe how much I saved and wished I had done it many years ago. Age, convictions, location etc will always play a part so all you can do is enquire.

I`m with Heratige Classic, cost me £197 per year full comp, all mods declared, 38, clean licence.

yeah to tax a 3.0 ltr in ireland is 1200 euro per year :saddam:

Take a look at the insurance thread below,started this year, if your looking for cheaper quotes mate, I`m not sure if there are any Irish members though.

Oh sorry bud, I thought you were in Ireland.

I've just recently gone with Performance Direct, they're the only people I could find that would do a classic policy with the car on the drive (not garaged), and also would allow modifications. I'm paying less than a third this year of what I paid last year!

I had my zed with Houghtons on classic, the insured party has to have his/her own insurance/1st car (zed would be a 2nd car), car has to be garaged overnight, I had the policy mileage limited to 1000 per hear but I didnt drive the car much.
