Hi ,I`ve recently had sky+ HD fitted with multi room, and everything works great and better than expected!!

So they installed a new HD box in the living room and my old normal sky box went in the bedroom, I was so impressed with the picture quality I have just bought from ebay a second hand skyHD box, my question is, how do i pair my old sky card with the HD box? I have tried the last four digits on the card but it say`s `no signal being recieved`, but on the main menu the signal strenth and quality are excellent!

Any help would be appreciated. :helpsmilie:

Thanks Daz

Sky themselves have to do it. You need to ring their cust services and they will require the number of the card you wish to use and a number from the new HD box.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Thanks Phil,

I`ve just spent half hour on the phone to someone who cant speak English properly!!! and got nowhere, he said the weather is bad and it could be down to a bad signal!!! The TV downstairs is perfect, he wouldnt listen!!!!

He has booked an engineer to come out!! I dont think it really needs an engineer.

Like you said, its just a few numbers that need changing from the box to the card!!!

Thanks anyway mate.

Let us know how you get on please as i'm thinking about doing the same :D

Yes - had to do it with mine when I changed the upstairs box from regular sky to a sky+ one. The cards are paired to a specific box to stop you giving/lending the card to someone else.

Ring em back and hopefully you'll speak to someone else. Sky's crap for cust service.

If it says no signal being recieved on the screen that has nothing to do with the card..

If you can view all channels apart from movies and sports then that is the card.

PM me if you need any help as I work for sky...

Oh by the way if you do ring sky it my take some time as the is busy time of the year for us.....
