Yes it will with a little modification.

What a coincidence .... I have just been modding an NA box today to fit a TT flywheel, then I can offer it as part of a manwell conversion kit early next year.:cool3:

Small amount of metal removal on bellhousing and then you need to space out the starter motor a little .

I might take some pics tomorrow.

i think I saw a starter motor spacer plate for sale recently???

Thanks Pete!! I`m interested in your conversion kit, but may have one sorted ! If you could post some pics that would be great!!

Are they basicly the same internals? i.e , is the TT box not a little stronger for the power difference?

regards Daz ;-)

what? in all my research i have only found the bellhousing different. please enlighten me??:confused1:

Speed sensor has a different cog fitted to match the n/a diff ratio, needs to be swapped or the speedo will not read acurately.

n/a propshaft is different, but can be used.

ah , i thought that might be why my speedo is out, TT box in an NA. have you got the bit to make mine read right?

ok sorry to hijack but is relevent to all i spose. im currently in the process of swapping bellhousings over on my gearbox(na gearbox buggered have tt replacement)

now i have all parts from either box . in what way is the prop different and what cog on to what speed sensor to i have to swap about??

i think, Jeff meant the speed sensor is different, so when fitting a TT box to an NA car you need to us the NA speed sensor????

I'm asuming that in a auto to manual conversion the speed sensor comes with the donor manual box????

I'm hoping my problem can be fixed by sourcing a manual NA speed sensor rather than taking the box apart??

I think the speed sensor is the same, but the cog on the end of the shaft is different, although i might be wrong! :)

Correct. TT and NA speed sensors are the same, its just the gear cog on the end. Its simple to replace (just a circlip) and not very expensive.

MJP will be able to supply.

Auto and Manual speed sensors are very different however.

my confusion is that replacing the cog (size of cog must match with size of drive gear in box surely?)

do you have to swap anything inside the actual box to match na cog on speed sensor?

Well thanks for all the replys to this thread!!

AND.. At last! tommorrow morning I take delivery of all my kit!!!! wahoooo :hyper:

So its time to get busy, I am sooooo tempted to give it all to Jeff at Zedworld as his price was VERY reasonable, but financialy this year, I need to save as much cash as I can, so it will all probably go horribly wrong when i have a go myself!! But jeff has offered to help if i get stuck on anything

On a positive note, I would like the experience of getting dirty with my zed and see how she ticks underneath !! I wont be attempting it all on my own, I will be using my dads mate`s garage and he will give some help along the way, hopefully just leave him to it!!

SO, my question`s are!!! have you guy`s any little tip`s/ hints for us along the way?

As previously replied by slick pete, I need to alter the bell housing slightly and extend the starter motor, Jeff said the speed sensor need`s altering, and i have downloaded the full `HOW TO fit a box! manual`!!!:sweatdrop:

Ant hint`s/ tips would be appreciated, thanks for your time :flowers:

Daz ;)
