I'm thinking of getting the engine rebuilt with forged Rods & Pistons:cool3:

Where would I get the best deal for a good reliable package??

Z1 motorsport do packages, I was just wondering where you guys get your stuff from and a rough cost for the parts required.

Thanks

Richie

I usually buy from Z1 or ConceptZperformance

But have a look at http://www.300zxclub.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=510_519&products_id=2988 , this is the 3zc forum online store, when you buy through them the products are discounted (will need to register with 3zc to get discount first) , but the orders are actually handled and dispatched by Z1, CZP or AMS ...etc

Z1 provide a great service when it comes to buying stuff.............but when it goes wrong, i.e. faulty parts etc., they just do not want to know. They don't answer emails so you have to call them, and then they fob you off or ask you to send it back which costs money which you dont get back. Now, if its a genuine Nissan part they supplied, they refer you to Nissan UK, who then refer you to your local Nissan Dealer, who then don't want to know and refer you back to Nissan UK, so two months down the line you still have a knackered part, and you give up and buy another locally. So, cut out the crap and buy local, its much easier to sort when things go wrong.

Old Zed, Who would you recommend locally ( UK + Ireland ) ??

You could try Danny at DTA or ring Jeff at Zedworld who may know of a UK supplier. There are also other US companies that sell performance parts but I would not know their performance when things go wrong. It goes against the whole American scene where 'service' and the 'customer' is king, sadly not the case with Z1.Also check in the 'For sale' section, I thought that some on here was selling a load of performance bits.
