Hi,

Getting a hell of a lot of condensation in my Z which is sitting on my drive. Any suggestions how I can limit the amount as it's not being driven at all.

i find a pot of salt behind the seat works quite well if its not being driven for a while, just remember to take it out, also check it twice a week if you suffer with it a lot as the salt attracts the water.

Might not work all the time its not a proven science, but did work with my Golf GTI when i had the same problem.

I'll try the stuff from Homebase.

Is the one from Frost just a big bag of silica gel?

the homebase one is just a big bag of silica gel in a plastic box with drip tray

yup cookin salt is a good idea, my mam puts a big pot of the stuff in her caraven when its not being used for the two months they aint allowed on site

Mine was doing this, so i gave the inside glass a good clean with some anti fog glass cleaner and hey presto no more fog.

You can get dehumidifiers like the homebase one from poundshop type outlets for £1-£1-99. The Frost item is re-useable so better value long-term!

Start it up, warm it up and leave it with the aircon running That'll dehumidify it fairly quickly

thats exactly what i got to do, i had a targa leak and i know theres loads of water in there still so i must put a heater in there soon...... prob is its so cold now water never has a chance to evaporate :(

If the windows are steaming up that badly then it means the car is damp for some reason, probably a leak somewhere?

I used to get this with my old Cavalier and used a product like the Homebase one. Worked amazingly well actually.

But try to fix the actual problem not the symptom.

/\/\/\/\/\ As Graham states, you must have a leak somewhere. Mine does not do it and I have not driven it for 2 months, in fact the battery has now got too low to start it, but there is no condensation inside the car. Find the leak and dry the car out and then all should be OK.
