does anyone no where the indicater relay is (flasher relay) and just to make sure its not the same one as the hazzards is it??

There are two locations used dependant upon if your zed is manual or auto, either way the flasher is fixed to either the accelerator pedal box or the brake pedal box, easiest way to identify it is with the ignition on and the indicator on ( flashing) you can follow the noise with a torch.

found the one your on about but it does the hazzards is the hazzard one the same as the indicators too as i need to change indicator but was told its not the hazzard one

Turn on the Hazards and see if the same relay clicks.

Same relay as far as i can recall, its still indicators whether using the hazards or the stalk.

If you have a problem, check the plug on the back of the hazard switch, can cause the indicators to stop working from the stalk but still work from the hazard switch.

Also if you have an alarm fitted, it will be wired through or to the relay at some point, but again depends on your problem.

thanks for your reply`s guys. i`ll tell you the problem i have no indicators at all they don`t click so i can`t find the relay i have changed the arm and i have changed the hazard relay yet still no indicators this is why i am wondering if there is another relay somewhere i can`t find.......

yea there was actually a 10 amp one in there that was blown before i started and did replace it and have checked it each time

There may be a short somewhere, thats either taking the fuse out and relay.

More likely the front and side indicators as sometimes water ingression can corrode the terminals in the bulb holders. Check the bulb holders at the front housings and the wing indicators. One more factor for the rear lights, there is a little black box on the right hand side behind the platic panel that covers the lights, not just the small cover but the whole panel. If it gets water in can rot the components on the board, this happened to mine and i lost my rear sidelights. Worth checking it, it comes apart by prising the lugs on the little box and the board slides out.

Good luck

i`ll have a look at that now the funny thing is the hazards are working fine and all 4 flash perfectly its just the indicators nothing at all now someone has said to me on the stalk i should have a live wire in there and none of mine seem to be live none of them are bigger then the rest or are any of them red either would you know what the colour of the wire is suppose to be live my problem is i`m trying to fix it before paying for a moblie electrical unit to come out

here`s a little bit extra i have put a direct live to the indicator arm onto the thickest wire now when i turn the indicators on they come on but don`t flash any ideas now to what it might be ? please

change the hazard relay again and still no joy can anyone tell me if they both share the same relay please

Yep both share the same relay. By putting live to the stalk, you have bypassed the relay hence no flash, just stay on. The biggest cause of this usually is the hazard switch itself. The indicators will not work without it plugged in, so i would suggest you have a problem on the loom to the switch or the switch itself

excellent mate that work it was the connection on the back thanks alot for that problem solved back for retest tomorrow thank you all for your help
