I have a 2003 Saab 9-5 HOT Aero (2.3 turbocharged petrol 250bhp), it has done 124000 miles and runs absolutly perfect. However, when I start it up first thing in the morning there is a cloud of blue smoke that comes out the exhaust. After about 30 seconds it clears and then there will be no smoke at all for the rest of the day.

Any ideas as to what it could be? I thought maybe the turbocharger, but its only on startup...?

Also, maybe the valve stem seals... so is a head rebuild needed?

What order am I best going about sorting it out...

Thanks guys, Dan
