This was posted over on preludeUK, i was gobsmacked when i read it, what the hell is happening to this country?

Last week my mothers friend pulled into ASDA in ellesmere port and went to get a trolly, as she apporched she saw an old lady putting one away so offered t give her a pound for hers to save time, then she realised that the old lady seemed upset about something so asked her what happened, she then told her tht she had been asked to leave ASDA by the man on the tobbaco desk for wearing a help for heroes wristband

Obviously this angered my mothers friend as her husband is out in afghanistan atm so she stormed into ASDA (wearing her help for heroes wristband which she bought at that very ASDA) and bought some cigarretes with her sleeve covering her wristband, afterwards she asked the muslim gentleman why he had served her but not the old lady to which he replied he wouldnt have served her if he had seen the wristband beforehand

She then demanded to see the manager who took the employees side and told her if she didnt leave immideatly he would call security and the police

seriously wtf is happening to this country?

If that is true it is a sad reflection our now diverse community, if it in fact untrue it is a VERY sad reflection on our diverse community, by the way did you copy and paste it direct? if so the mistakes should have been corrected.

Yeah, I saw this on a forces web forum, and it was exposed as a total load of Rubbish. :slap:

aah, but the one about a lad in the army dressed in uniform who walking into a garage in London and was refused service by a Muslim is true, was even on topgear as jezza covered it as well. was a few years ago though when the Iraq war part 2 broke out.

and before anyone says "your racist because you are targeting Muslims", i say this, no im not, it just so happened to be a Muslim behind the counter who refused the army lad. all religions are the same, all promote "thou shalt not kill" in some way shape or form. yet none can keep to it.

The same thing happened at asda rochdale about 4 weeks ago it was well published in the local paper [ rochdale observer ]The Wan?er on the till refused to serve her because

she was wearing a wristband for the soldiers it caused plenty of anger and protest were held at asda rochdale [ what the fook would happen if it was the other way round ]

I'm sorry but i don't believe this at all! Just sounds like more hate mongering going on to me and the internet and media egging it on!

I hate the media with a passion, whether you wanna call me a bit of a nutter or not, the media twists everything out of proportion and writes its own stories based on 'facts' people make up to gain more from a story!

Unless i see something like this with my own eyes i'm not gonna buy into it :)

hmm im inclined to agree - i see more and more headlines or straplines tend to be in quotes, like: "TEACHER MURDERS PUPILS" (someone overheard someone else say a few weeks ago)

:slap:

Bit off topic here but i was told that help the heroes doesnt really help anyone but the people creaming money off out of it.Apparently only about 7p out of a pound is left after admin, making the wristbands etc is payed for.Can anyone confirm this?

I find these false rumours a great insight into the public mindset. it's quite contained on here, and these things tend to get questioned on here , rather than jumped on.

However It's amazing how one posting like this is jumped on by the general population, and prompts loads of comments about they have heard a similar TRUE STORY and they know the girl involved etc...(again, not here)

I think a lot of people are waiting for something to happen to justify their feelings on a certain subject, and will suspend all logic when given a chance.

Anyway........I saw Kirsty MacColl and Elvis in a recording studio belonging to our Company yesterday. Seems they are planning a Xmas release to fight off the Xfactor domination

I also agree with you Isaac.......

......TBH; I doubt anyone working in Asda (or anywhere else for that matter) would even notice what charity wristband (if any) another person was wearing.

Complete crap!

Richard:(

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
