Im after a bright red or black 300zx targa (new shape)

 

I have cash and am looking around £3000-£4500 range.

Must be UK car as insurance unaffordable on import.

You will be lucky to find one that moves for that price. I got mine for £4500, with ALOT of miles on it and needing quite a bit of body work. Lucky I and my dad are able to do it. And we are talking sills that took 2 days non-stop each side to fix, and it still isnt 100%

I think AndyZ might still have one for sale for a little bit more than you're offering, but I doubt if yu'll find a good one for the money you want to spend. Try digging a little deeper and it will save you money in the long run!

If that's your budget are you sure you can afford to run it?

 

I was once quoted by someone that they were £7K to buy and £3.5K a year to keep on the road.

 

Not trying to piss on your bonfire but a neglected Zed will be nothing but an unreliable headache!

Cheers Tim - Well I got about £100 a month to throw at it if things go awry - has anybody been able to keep one without shelling out quids all over?

 

I have but that's because I've done all the work myself! The cost of keeping it on the road for the last 20mths is still about £900 though!

If I'd taken it to Nissan, it would have cost me over £5000 probably.

I saw a few round that price last week.

If they are any good is another story.

You have got to expect some work, maybe lots.

And take somebody with you that knows the cars.Look at maybe six before buying ie. dont take any money with you, you`ll soon get an idea.
