Just another newbie new on the 300zx scene and wanted to say hi to everyone there

Had mine since August. 08 , the plenum is off at the moment being chromed, and just doing water bypass and titivated the intake & exhaust cam covers .

 

While off am getting money together for INJECTORS /fuel rail CHIPPED ECU etc ,

Have'nt figured out how to post/upload any pictures but once I do I'll sort that out ....any suggestions ?.

Mine's a 94 JAP import (mid 94 i think ). TT. I have been looking at info regarding the 300 degree fuel rails and can see several advantages but wondering whether the NISMO 740 INJECTORS will go in the standard rails. For the 475 pounds are they worth the expense , unless I have to have them of course , any suggestions ?.....p

I am not a techy kind of person if i'm honest but i don't think changing the injectors alone will do much. You will need supporting mods to increase performance, like EBC, Exhaust, Air Filter and a Chip etc....

More tech minded people will be a long soon mate, but as zx-eyes says. You'd be better off getting a good induction kit, cat back exhaust, ecu map and boost controller or jets. That will push you're zed upto around the 350 - 380 bhp mark. You only really need bigger injectors when you're aiming for 400 - 500 bhp. I wouldn't think they'd make much of a difference on a stock zed.

: HKS air filter ,plugs

, Hks front mounted intercooler

: HKS EVC 6 boost control

: larger capacity radiator (from z centre

: de cat pipes and downpipes .

Thought that I may as well do the INJECTORS as plenum is off and the standard squirters have never been changed . plus I think Jeff said higher flow injectors would help with increased boost , p

Oh well jobs a good un then i reckon. IIRC its the injectors that hold you back from upping the boost quite a lot. Change them and you'll get yourself to fairly high boost settings :D

And thanks very much! It is absolutely nothing compared to alot, but i love it and i'm fairly happy with it at the moment :D

To be honest. I would save your money on the injectors and fuel rail and spend it else were.

 

The injectors max out just before the turbos do so there is only 0.1/0.2 of a bar to gain untill your turbos are maxed out.

 

So for me its wasnt worth the extra £££ and the strain on the stock parts

 

100% yes if you had uprated turbos but on stock there is no point.

 

The other option that would see better gains are a one peace propshaft. lighten flywheel also lightend pullys. This will make a big differance to your acceleration.
