I have a funny feeling the garage smashed up my old heads on purpose, have a look through the pics and tell me what you think?

When you look through the below heads look at the hole bits, they look cracked and smashed,

are the heads like this normally?

is there any reason why this may have been done?

Surely if they were dropped or were damaged funny how it has happened to every single hole on both heads! also all parts that come out of the heads look fine.

I think they have done this out of spite but who knows, make your own conclusion, i was going to use these as they kinda stole my other heads (refused to give them back)

I cant see anything obviously wrong with those heads, the rough edges around the holes for head bolts are just where the original castings are not cleaned up and is totaly normal.

I am probably wrong but I can't see anything wrong with them, is it not just the rough edges of the castings you are looking at. Mind you it's a long time since I took the heads of anything, I'm sure someone will be along sure to advise you better!

Snap!

Yeah it was all the rough edges.

Is that really normal?

Looked like they were damaged but couldn't understand why they would do it.

yeah thats normal i had to replace one of mine & that looked the same, thats the reason peole get them gas flowed & ported eg clean up all the crappy manafacture rough edges thus giving better flow arond them!

Yep 100% normal :) its just casting marks from when they were made. as they dont need to be smooth i guess it saved nissan a little by not cleaning them up.
