You need to pay an extra £10 per month for multiroom. They also have to run another cable from the disk to the 2nd box.

I have SKY+ I phoned them up and asked about getting multiroom installed, they wanted £100 for doing it. told em to get stuffed. :wack:

You are better off buying a tv sender unit from maplins, less than £20

You would need to run one aerial cable to the tv upstairs from the back of the sky unit.

You can watch what you want in the bedroom and change channels and you will save£££s over the year for multiroom.

Multiroom is handy if you both want to watch something different at the same time, but with a HD box you could record a program and watch it later

the reason i want muti is to chase the wench upstairs when i want to watch something on sky and she does aswell, so them magic eye jobs will be no good

if you get a quad lmb you can run it to the box in your bedroom and put in a card that gives you the free channels this is the only way i know that you dont pay

Have you tried the "Skyplayer" service which is Skys answer to BBC's iplayer? If you've got decent broadband and wireless internet you can allocate up to 4 computers to watch the skychannels and then use a laptop to watch sky channels from anywhere in the house. Pictures is on par with BBC iplayer so it's definitely watchable but not as good as broadcast. Bonus is that it's free and you don't need to start ripping up floors and pulling cables.

OK.. you'll need to run another cable from the LNB to your bedroom (it should have 4 out puts... if it doesn't they go for about £10 on ebay)... you can then get the freesat channels on that box without paying but you'll need to ask sky to send you the card... There is NO way of getting any of the sky pay channels for free... they have one of the most advanced encryption systems in world (NDS Videoguard) and they have just issued new cards. They do this every 5 years or so as they figure that's when people will have hacked it... it's pretty hardcore...
